Today was a great knitting day. Did I get alot done, or have any big technical revelations? NO, it was the 2nd Oakland Knit Out! Was I shocked and amazed by the special guest right coast blogger? Not really, I brought her in my car to the cafe--yup, it's my sister Claudia! She and her hub are out from MA for our mom's birthday, so with the idea from devillishly clever and charming Rachael, a Knit Out was plotted. Like the last gathering, the group was large and talented and fun. Chatting and comparing projects with like minded folks is such a treat...no one asks if you're "crocheting" or deciding that you're knitting to save money on "store bought" sweaters. AS IF! Another wonderful Knit Out tradition is to sprint two doors down to the gorgeous Article Pract--so much yummy yarn in that shop! Good food, great company and a luscious yarn shop...good times...
I know what some of you may be thinking, why are you loitering in a yarn store 3 days before you fly east to head to Rhinebeck? Well...uh...patterns! I can't help if if Article Pract has a fabulous pattern selection. I had to get the Rowan Vintage Style book. There are so many cute sweaters in there that are calling my name. Salina, Joy and Demi are right at the top of my list of things to do. Yeah, it's a long list.
Ooooh, good mystery guest, and in a poncho to boot! Have fun at Rhinebeck and elsewhere!

Is it possible for two sisters to be sooooooo darn cute? I think so. Is that her poncho? If it is, tell her to be careful if she wears it near me because I'll snatch it off her back. Love it!
