    Hey Goddess...

    Click for the R2 version.

Do you want to be a goddess? Well you can either take this goddess assessment quiz, or you can knit up a Goddess of your own. After seeing Rachael's lovely Goddess version, I had to have one. I went to the stash bullpen and came up with some suitable yarn. For those who want the lowdown on this top:

Pattern: Vogue Knitting, Summer 2004, Model #6
Yarn: Filatura Lanarota "Luxor DK"; 50% cotton, 50% acrylic
    Color: 75 (Fuschia/Magenta)
My Mods to Pattern: 1.5" shorter (of course)
Also, this yarn doesn't knit to Goddess pattern gauge, but easy enough to rejigger with a calculator. Well, maybe I should wait and see if that's still true after I wet block it...Oh yeah, what goddess am I, Athena of course.

Hey! I was going to make that! We won't be twinsies if mine is lime, will we?

Yow! You're WAY more Goddess than me, darlin'. You look hot! Oh, and the tank is nice, too.
    ;)

GORGEOUS. I love the color! All these dang goddesses running around ...
And what, are you knitting a sweater per day?

Just said in Claudia's comments that that's on my list, too! It's shaping up to be a stockinette tank summer.

    Wow !
    Fab colour !
    Fab fit !
You look stunning in your stylish new top.
Ha,ha re :r2. What a load of rubbish.Very naff art school.Just my opinion.

Mariko - yes I'm all hopped up on Peet's caffeine and am now knitting a sweater a day. I should start a sweaters without sleeves club...

Ingrid - start knitting, it'll be warm overnight.

Emma - I agree, the R2 concept--big money for "deconstructionist" sweaters misses the mark. I do like their professional art direction, something sadly lacking from many knitting publications. Uh, yes editors, we do want elucidating, stylish, in focus photos.

OH. MY. WORD. I can hear the catcalls from here, darlin'. You are smashing in that tank! Love the color, and how it looks on you. Va-va-voom!

You knit like the wind, both you and your mah-velous sis. It must run in the fam...

It looks great! And you just whipped it up from some yarn in your stash? I am impressed.

That's the pattern I bought the issue for earlier this week! And I am amazed you made it work in the Luxor DK--I love that yarn, I used it for my Kyoto earlier this spring, but it is definitely not the recommended yarn. It's beautiful!

    So cute! great job!

I can't keep up with you, Athena! Yet another sexy, summery top -- it looks great, and I love the colour. Woo! (The "R2 version" made me laugh.)
