After an enjoyable 24 hours of resting on my completed turtleneck laurels, I decided to see how many sweaters I am concurrently knitting. I see three "active" projects (these are thusly designated to indicate they have an actual hope in hell of be done soon).
Today we've got a lovely Phildar sweater from the Tendances Printemps 2003 book. I've already begun thinking about the modifications I may do...first off, I hate those huge buttons. They look like they we ripped off that doll you give to toddlers so they can learn to button and zip and tie. You know the one I mean...I'm leaning toward squaring off the top and bottom bands and using VELCRO! I know, nutty idea, but it would look much more lean/mean, and the knitted fabric is very firm. Hey I can always rip it out and use a big snap if I hate it.
Looks kind of like a Kerstin-esque motorcycle jacket?
Sleeves as swatch...wasn't that Elizabeth Zimmermann?
