Well blog surfing lately has shown that many of you are bursting your creative seams. There's a growing underground movement to make furry Bucket-o-Chic hats. Okay I know of Claudia and Becky. I've made two furry ones and love them. A blonde and a jet black one. I think those hats are like peanuts, can't stop at one...Stop press! Miss BonneMarie has sent me THE inspirational photo that set me off on the furry hat jag. Behold!.

How fabulous is this! I live in CA and I've made TWO! |
Then I see that
Mariko has finished the adorable green ponchetta. Now speaking of bursting seams, and me being a smartass, I suggested she make the sleeve sweater in the latest
Rebecca. Now I actually want to make this sweater. It's a big rectangle, with each end being a sleeve. Then you wrap it around your body, and there are several permutations in the magazine, and you've got a funky sweater. I'll have to check my yarn inventory when I get home. That could be kind of fun, knit each piece of a sweater as a freestanding garment. Sleeves, tube top to keep the middle warm, tubular collar thang...hmmm...then you could get really big safety pins to pin it all together and it would be Versace. Only downtown Versace.

The sleeve sweater from Rebecca, get that dumb boy out of the shot. We can't see the wrapping. |
AH! That is waaaay too cool. Me want one, bad. And you know you need another. Come on. Shall we bucket?
I probably wouldn't wear it, but I love the idea of a booby tube + arm tubes. NO SEAMING.

What yarn did you use for the furry Bucket-O-Chic? I love it!

Uh what's that Becky, are you ordering me to the yarn store to purchase yarn for the fur-along? Well I must defer to your wishes...
Dear sister, what do you mean...unintentionally creative...did you make a SNL conehead? Accidently turn a heel on your head?
Amy, I can't recall what yarn I used. It was a Brown Sheep worsted and a really soft fur yarn. Tell you what, I'll go to the yarn store and check it out...heee....heeeeee

This photo is from BonneMarie's site, and mine is similar. It is unfelted and mine is made of Brown Sheep worsted and the fur is Trendsetter Voila. Very soft!
