As I'll be going to Boston later this week, I was thinking about portable projects. My Star turtleneck is progressing nicely, but I realized it was the most portable project I have and must be saved for travel. Therefore, with that rationalization behind me I started a new sweater. I ripped out my huge aran sweater in September, washed the crinkled yarn and shoved it under my bed to age. My intent was to find another aran pattern that would actually fit me. I came across a lovely aran in Rebecca #26, and this time I thought I'd swatch to see how close to gauge I could get. Well you can't really swatch an 88 stitch aran pattern so I cast on and went for it. Guess what, gauge is spot on! Behold...
An updated aran look, no bottom ribbing and cute funnelly collar.
Love those intertwining cables.
